The ADAS Testing & Validation Engineer will be part of development team working on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The team is responsible for specification, development, testing & integration of ADAS systems.

 

This role shall strengthen the ADAS Feature Testing and Analysis by data driven test methods & improving Virtual verification capabilities of ADAS systems at Karma Automotive/

 

 

Responsibilities

Tasks:

    • Leverage all acquired testing tools to put together a Mobile Test Setup which can collect data on ADAS function performance vs live ground truth data.
    • Collect, Store & Reuse this data for Virtual Testing of performance of new Software releases without need of redoing physical on-the-road tests.
    • Lead development of the Virtual Testing Environment.
    • Create RFQs & compare different supplier solution alternatives to give recommendations. Learn the Karma release process (Engineering Change Requests)
    • Manage & provide training to Engineers on how to configure and run Virtual Testing Environment.
    • Expand Virtual Testing Environment by integrating Hardware-in-the-Loop as needed.
    • Create performance overview reports of subsequent SW releases showing how performance is improving over multiple builds.
    • Perform Regression Tests to secure no old bugs reappear as algorithm focusses on new problems over time.
    • Manage Test Cars & managing the software updates in these test cars.
    • Assist in On-the-road testing for different functions as needed.
    • Get familiar with CAN bus, be able to use Vector tools such as CAN-case and utilize SW packages such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
    • Take CAN logs & analyze data for performance 

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with any of the following:
    • Development on Multicore DSP/GPUs
    • Excellent in Programing languages like C/C++/Python
    • Sensor data handling, Radar, Cameras, Lidar, RTK Gps together with CAN (Synchronizing)
  • Good to have prior experience in any of the following areas: HD Maps/ Localization/ OpenCV/ ROS/ Sensor Fusion/ Ground truth comparison/HIL for ADAS systems, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license
