The Supervisor, Vehicle Integration will work closely with the Program, CAD Design, and Design Release engineering teams to manage the Vehicle Integration Team and subsequently determine the vehicle's functional objectives for the company.  This role is responsible for all personnel management concerns and the team’s Vehicle Integration company processes for vehicle development.

 

We are seeking someone with a strong background in functional areas such as NVH, Impact, Dynamics, as well as Vehicle Integration and/or an engineering releasing background, preferably understanding all vehicle disciplines.  Additionally, the person selected should be able to discuss and understand all aspects of an automobile and be an excellent evaluator of automobiles from every aspect of the product.  Previous experience as a supervisor highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain personnel plan for hiring, training, and development of all direct reports.  Work with recruiting team to fill all open positions in a timely fashion;
  • Develop and maintain annual schedule for each program including all major program gates and development events and trips;
  • Develop and put into use all tools and training needs for the group;
  • Meet all performance, packaging, cost and timing objectives of the vehicle programs;
  • Lead Vehicle Integration team through development and achievement of functional objectives;
  • Hire, manage, and develop direct reports in Vehicle Integration;
  • Coach the team through the benchmarking and target generation phase of the program;
  • Coach team through virtual and physical validation efforts for both the Design Verification and Process Verification phases of the program;
  • Ensure that all vehicle level DVP&Rs are completed and testing results are documented accordingly;
  • Support prototype and production assembly events at domestic or international locations.

Qualifications

  • BS Mechanical Engineering;
  • 10+ years’ experience in vehicle development (NVH, Impact, Dynamics and/or Body or Chassis design);
  • Prior experience with evaluation of automobiles, ideally considered an "expert evaluator";
  • Experience with virtual simulation tools for the above disciplines;
  • Based in our Costa Mesa, Orange County, CA location.
