 The Karma Automotive Quality organization is seeking a candidate with automotive experience that will support the operations departments of our assembly plant to drive and deliver “Zero Defects” products and process to our customers.   Work will be conducted in a team environment supported by functional support organizations to assure the final product to our customers is nothing short of the “Highest Quality vehicle in its Class”


 The Quality Control Engineer will lead, coach, monitor and drive actions in the assembly operations to assure our teams, products and process are performing at their best. Measuring success and driving continuous improvement through hands-on involvement sets the stage for this position, in our ever growing and expanding company.


  • Supervise incoming quality inspection activities and assure compliance to specifications and appearance standards. Implement product quality standards.
  • Communicate up & down – stream with teams and organizations to gather feedback, and feedforward on product status to assure awareness and actions required.
  • Develop material review list base on supplier performance, risk priority concerns, shipment concerns, and special handling needs to assure a steady flow of quality products are delivered to the assembly operations.
  • Confirm product packaging can withstand shipping, storage and in-plant handling to meet quality requirements delivered to the line.
  • Supervise Material Review Board (MRB) reviews with organization teams to access accountability and responsibility to address issues. Track and monitor performance.
  • Serve as liaison between engineering, logistics, supplier quality, purchasing and manufacturing organizations, to assure quality of our products, and release levels are compliant, and in accordance to change management
  • Supervise all material containment activities on suspect materials, and supplier requests.
  • Generate corrective action reports and quality alerts to communicate issues to the respective organizations to drive actions with the responsible parties. Track and monitor performance
  • Follow-up with suppliers to feedback status of findings and drive issue resolution using quality problem solving tools.
  • Oversee Incoming Quality staff


  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics. 
  • A minimum of eight years of experience
  • Must be able to work well in groups, particularly in areas of analysis.
  • Preferred candidate should have experience in: 
    • compressive sensing
    • signal processing
    • digital image processing
  • The applicant must have the desire to work on teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to give presentations and interact well with peers and customers is required. 
  • Ability to program in Matlab is required. 
  • Some travel outside the locate area is required.
