This role will work in our Irvine, California corporate offices.

 

The Senior Manager, IT is responsible for overseeing and managing a company's information technology landscape and projects. Coordinates project phases from development to installation. Acts as liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants. Senior IT Managers are responsible for ensuring the entire IT infrastructure is running and operating at peak performance. In addition provide accurate and timely reports to upper management on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. The Senior IT Manager will manage all aspects of the Infrastructure including, Network, server, storage, service desk/desktop support and other aspects of the infrastructure team. Must possess very strong management skills and be able to manage a diverse team. Their goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for our internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Helping create and enforce policies and procedures
  • Enforce ITIL policies to ensure IT services are in alignment with the needs of the business
  • Managing the installation, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure
  • Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection
  • Managing the setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords and supporting the cross functional processes surrounding these actions
  • Monitoring and reporting on network usage/abuse
  • Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers
  • Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and management problems
  • Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards
  • Setting up proactive monitoring and alerting
  • Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password –
  • Must be familiar with various processes such as ITIL, SCRUM, Agile, FCAPS, COBIT, NIST etc.
  • Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet
  • Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence
  • Managing the work output of other staff, network engineers, server engineers, IT Supervisors, IT Administrators, and Project Managers
  • Working closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff
  • Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work
  • Monitoring and upgrading communications systems like exchange
  • Monitoring and upgrading the NAS systems
  • Monitoring and upgrading the virtualized infrastructure
  • Monitoring and upgrading the Network Infrastructure
  • Monitoring and upgrading any non-SAP and non-engineering related apps, IE. SharePoint, Active Directory, SSO, Websites, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in IT
  • Minimum 10 years’ management experience in IT
  • BS/MS Preferred
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong Documentation skills
  • Dedication to ITIL service management
  • Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
  • Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology
  • Requires excellent hands on IT skills and knowledge
  • Able to plan and manage projects
  • Be proactive in suggesting upgrades / efficiencies to help out the enterprise
