    The Sales Manager - Eastern Region is responsible for developing the company’s annual wholesale and retail sales goals to support Karma’s overall business objectives, ensuring structures and strategic plans are in place to achieve those goals; and providing leadership and focus to the retailer network.


    ** This position will work out of our Troy, Michigan office. **


    • Develop a carefully planned franchise development strategy based on published market data, customer feedback, personal experience and competitive benchmarking. Execute said plan by finding and recruiting the best retailers in each market and closing deals.
    • Enforcement of CI standards at each retail location with clear action plans for non-conformers.
    • Driving sales by developing innovative local marketing and sales plans.
    • Monitoring lead management and showroom traffic to make sure inventory is available where and when it’s needed. Immediately facilitating dealer trades, when needed.
    • Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction
    • Monitoring national and regional trends in Karma’s actual transaction prices
    • Regularly calling on retailers telephonically, electronically and physically in order to ensure the Karma brand is continuously at the fore of their minds and reinforcing Karma-related tasking.
    • Constant communication, data sharing and team management.
    • Management of all aspects of retailer training programs.
    • Regularly scheduling in-store meetings and lunch-and-learn events in order to convey to frontline staff the latest marketing, product and competitive landscape information.
    • Providing consultative input and advice on retailers’ businesses.
    • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of Karma’s culture and initiatives in the retailer network.
    • Filter market information back to headquarters to inform decisions and ideation on marketing program, sales incentives, product development and brand management.
    • Ensure retailers are maximizing the potential benefits of pre-owned business and the Karma’s Certified Pre-Owned program
    • Ensure retailers are maximizing the after-sales potential of the Karma business
    • Reinforce the sales potential retailers will find in the service drive
    • Oversee management of retailers’ local marketing programs and coop ad budgets.
    • Maintain situational awareness of general economic, business and financial conditions, as well as their repercussions on the Karma’s policies and operations.
    • Management of the retail network’s annual forecasting.
    • Constantly evaluating the retail network’s financial position and issue regular operational reporting.
    • Document critical processes.
    • Actively managing each month’s-end close.
    • Constantly striving to improve the accuracy of information and the methods by which it circulates within the department.
    • Takes part in management meetings, providing the documents required for such meetings to proceed smoothly.
    • Holds regular staff meetings to ensure information sharing
    • Facilitates the annual audit and the physical inventory.
    • Keeps abreast of competitive sales programs and ensures that any appropriate counter-measures are deployed.
    • Performs other tasks, according to management requirements and instructions.


    • A BS degree in business administration from an accredited institution; MBA or equivalent preferred
    • 5+ years of national B2B automotive sales management experience
    • 2+ years of luxury retail automotive management experience
    • Extensive knowledge of dealership operations
    • Strong background in marketing and brand management
    • Computer proficiency is required
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
    • Strong negotiating and presentation skills
    • Position will require extensive travel - up to 50%
    • Valid CA driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
