The Deployment Architect’s role is to architect, build, and maintain the IT tools and systems to support the engineering community. The main project for this role will be the implementation of Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform from scratch, the migration of all legacy data to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, and the sunset of the legacy applications.


** This position will work in our Irvine California coprorate offices.  **


  • Work with the engineering community to understands the requirements, business processes, gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Architect/Develop/Customize/Configure software to satisfy business requirements and process design
  • Research, resolve, and respond to highly complex system/process related issues within our suite of hardware/software products.
  • Maintenance and development of interfaces between the engineering systems and the operational systems (MES, ERP, etc.)
  • Participate in and/or drive business systems analysis and process redesign, in alignment with the PLM, CAD, and CAE strategy, and meeting security, network, infrastructure/operations, and customer support requirements
  • Lead engineering system upgrade projects for engineering systems
  • Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication, and system clean-up activities.
  • Work with the vendors to understand implementation recommendations and/or troubleshoot production issues.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in system, integration and acceptance test efforts.
  • Develop documentation that effectively feeds training and change management activities
  • Conducts post-installation system review and monitor software and hardware consumption to plan upgrades as required
  • Manage a team of developers



  • Bachelor degree in Software or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent working experience
  • 10+ years of experience with systems and IT operations
  • Extensive experience with product development methodologies and engineering lifecycle activities
  • Experience with LINUX and Windows OS
  • Experience with JAVA and Apache Tomcat
  • Experience with various DB (MS-SQL, Oracle, mariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with various SCM (SVN, Bitbucket)
  • Extensive experience with PLM application (3DEXPERIENCE Platform preferred)
  • Experience with CAD systems (CATIA V5, CATIA V6 preferred) is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various internal business partners, levels of management as well as with external suppliers
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead and promote change in an environment of rapidly changing technologies and business processes
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Must be proactive and able to work with little or no supervision
