Responsible for planning, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes in a designated area of a vehicle assembly plant. Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits of general practices and procedures, but where supervision is available to handle unusual situations.

• Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing sequences for General Assembly
• Analyzes product designs for the best method to manufacture
• Conceptualizes and sources jigs / fixtures to improve ease of assembly
• Ensures quality is comprehended within assembly processes and procedures
• Creates process documentation including standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and PFMEAs
• Provides technical support to General Assembly production teams
• Coordinates and consults with departments outside of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
• Stays abreast of new manufacturing technologies and competitive products
• Supports the development of preventative maintenance schedules and ensures a high level of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
• Knowledge and ability to lead or support throughput initiatives and/or continuous improvement
• General understanding of engineering theory and principles of mechanical / electrical systems

• Desire to learn new tools and cutting edge (EV-based) technology.
