    The Senior Manager, Sales Operations Finance  acts as the key interface to the Karma dealer network and to the Finance department for any Sales & Marketing related financial matters and programs.  Key responsibilities include budgeting, procure to pay processes, dealer financial reporting, sales program management, vehicle and option pricing management, market research and ad hoc projects.

     

    ** This position will work in our Irvine, CA coporate office. **

    Responsibilities

    Budgeting & Procure to Pay

    • Lead the Sales & Marketing team’s budgeting process working cross-functionally with all stakeholders within the organization ensuring adherence to timelines and budget accuracy while addressing all future activities throughout the Sales & Marketing organization.
    • In conjunction with the greater Finance department, manage the financial planning process which includes annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly tracking of actual spend versus budget for the Sales & Marketing department. Identify key risks and opportunities in achieving strategic departmental and companywide objectives.
    • Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure actual costs are appropriately captured.
    • Manage the day-to-day purchase requisition approval and payment processes further developing and streamlining these processes to maximize their effectiveness. Ensure that stakeholders within Sales & Marketing as well as the wider organization clearly understand and adhere to the requirements, processes and company policies.
    • As necessary, support stakeholders by presenting business cases at sourcing committee meetings in order to gain agreement on spending decisions prior to execution.
    • Oversee the purchase order and payment processes in accordance with the terms agreed.

     

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Act as the central point of contact for the Karma dealer network for any Finance related matters including dealer statements, variable margin and incentive programs, etc.
    • Develop a dealer financial composite reporting system to measure dealer financial health and implement this system across Karma’s distribution network. Create a standard set of financial reporting and performance metrics to be used internally by business area to ensure that each stakeholder is able to use the data received in order to understand dealer financial results within each area of the dealer’s business and take actionable steps to optimize dealer performance. 
    • Provide support in developing and maintaining Karma’s sales and financial service programs including the assessment of Karma’s residual value assumptions and strategy, underwriting analysis and review, the development and delivery of new programs and the day-to-day management of the Finance components of ongoing programs.
    • Develop a suite of additional products and services to be added by Karma Financial Services such as gap insurance, wheel and tire protection plans, etc. 
    • Act as the central point of contact to the IRS for the ongoing reporting requirements so that Karma continues to qualify for the Federal Tax Credit program.  Track any changes to the program and ensure that we remain up to date.  Oversee the application process for any new vehicle qualifications.
    • Manage the implementation of vehicle and option pricing in accordance with Karma’s global product and distribution strategy.
    • Research and assess competitor global volume and price positioning to determine ideal volume/pricing aspirations at a market, regional and global level.
    • Research local market conditions to understand the price build up from a wholesale to retail price and make recommendations within the business.
    • Define and support KPI development and implementation to maximize business efficiencies and effectiveness.

     

    Qualifications

    • BA / BS in Accounting, Business, or Economics –
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning or program finance.  Some supervisory experience is also desired.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate the information in a clear and concise way.
    • High energy, willing to work in dynamic, fast-paced organization
    • Strong team skills, an ability to work well with others, and to deliver on commitments
    • Minimum of small team Management experience required
    • Process-improvement mindset, focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and simplification
    • Software skills: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience working with SAP experience preferred.
