    This person will impact all vehicle programs. They will fill the emerging need for collecting, managing and distributing critical vehicle data and information.

    Reporting to the Lead Systems Analyst, Diagnostics the Senior Software Engineer, Diagnostics is responsible for the development and integration of applications used for advanced vehicle telematics, in-vehicle communications and diagnostics. Additionally responsible for authoring diagnostic specifications, data analysis and reporting, as well as test and validate message integrity.

    Responsibilities

           Operational

    • Deliver work of superior quality, on time.
    • Update knowledge and skills by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations to keep pace with advancements in automotive technology.

    Technical

    • Draft Requirements.
    • Design applications.
    • Prototype applications.
    • Test applications.
    • Debug applications.
    • Deploy applications.
    • Maintain applications.
    • Ensure applications, protocols and processes meet requirements and quality standards.
    • Create and integrate prototype applications leveraging existing and future technologies.
    • Automotive OEM experience a major plus
    • Experience developing automotive diagnostic applications
    • Experience with ISO-22901 ODX standard
    • Experience with high voltage EV/HEV systems a plus

      

    Qualifications

     

    Education

    • B.S. or MSc., in CS/EE or equivalent

    Qualifications

    • Experience developing automotive applications development a major plus
    • Experience with CAN bus analysis tools and data loggers

      Required Skills

      • Proficiency in Software Release Management, Version Control and Source Control
      • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and MS Visio
      • Proficiency in MS Project preferred
      • Excellent Superior communication skills
      • Excellent Superior time management skills combined with an ability to multiplex across different tasks.
      • 5 to 10 years in one or more of the following programming languages; AT, Embedded C/C++, Java, C#, .NET
      • 5 to 10 years in one or more of the following development environments; Visual Studio, Vector CANalyzer, CAPL, Cross Code C/C++ Compiler, Labview , MatLab, Simulink
      • 5 to 10 years in one or more of the following communication protocols; ODX, UDS, CAN, LIN, GMLAN, OBDII, KWP2000.
