    The PLM Systems Engineer Associate is in the IT department and supports the tools and systems used by the engineers for all design activities (PLM, ALM, CAD, etc.).  The main project is a PLM system implementation from scratch, supporting a full business transformation - a rare opportunity!

     

    **This position will work in our Irvine, California corporate office. **

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the engineering community to understand and document the current tools, systems, and processes used business processes.
    • Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication, and system clean-up activities.
    • Support on-going business process improvement projects
    • Work with the engineering community to understands the requirements, gaps and opportunities for improvement
    • Participate in and/or drive business systems analysis and process redesign expertise within the business areas, in alignment with the IT strategy, and meeting security, network, infrastructure/operations, and customer support requirements
    • Customize/configure software to satisfy business requirements and process design
    • Plan, coordinate and participate in system, integration and acceptance test efforts.
    • Develop documentation that effectively feeds training and change management activities
    • Conducts post-installation system review and monitor software and hardware consumption to plan upgrades as required
    • Develop a strong working knowledge of PLM, CAD, and CAE products, services, and industry trends to select appropriate technologies to meet business requirements.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor degree in engineering or information systems or business or equivalent working experience
    • Strong interest in ALM, PLM, CAD, CAM, and/or ERP applications
    • Strong interest in product development methodologies and engineering lifecycle activities
    • Experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and CATIA V5 or V6 are a plus
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing technologies and business processes
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Proactive and self-motivated
