Karma Automotive is looking for an exceptionally talented Supplier Quality Engineer to support the monitoring and development of Karma suppliers. The ideal candidate will have Advanced Product Quality Development (APQP) experience and have a proven track record of executing the AIAG Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables. The person in this role will need to be able to assess supplier readiness to support program launch, PPAP execution, and then develop appropriate countermeasures to ensure success.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
· Working knowledge of automotive HVAC systems including compressors, HVAC units, fluid transfer components, and vehicle performance testing
· Working knowledge of psychrometrics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermal management
· Demonstrated experience and capability in the following areas:
Manufacturing Quality Systems: Engine, Fuel Line, Inverter, and/or HV Battery, ECM, Muffler, traction motors, RDM Transaxle, Flywheel Assembly, Generator.
Knowledge base requirements:
· BS Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality/BA
· 3+ years of experience within Powertrain areas
· 5+ years APQP Experience
· 5+ years PPAP Executiion
