    Experienced in developing CAD solutions for Thermal/HVAC module group to meet component and subsystem requirements. Knowledgeable of Design and Engineering Best Practices and is skilled in CAD (CATIA) and Data Management System/Smart Team.


    • Creates CAD data (models) of components and subsystems (Including Powertrain Cooling & HVAC).
    • Conduct Package studies for component integration in all areas of the vehicle.
    • Interface with suppliers, Karma Automotive Release and CAE engineers.
    • Applies manufacturability, Design For Assembly, and integration knowledge to parts and subsystem designs
    • Actively participates in design reviews
    • Documents and maintains material, mass, and other part specifications within the CAD file
    • Works closely with engineers and designers to achieve product design requirements.
    • Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in area of responsibility
    • Shares lessons learned with the Thermal Group and creates & recommends updates to Best Practices
    • Keeps immediate leader informed of project status, timing, and technical issues.
    • Identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
    • Create model structures that work in conjunction well with Smart Team


    ·         Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive Engineering degree is preferred but is not required.

    ·         5-10 years of experience with relevant automotive industry experience with expertise related to Surfacing, Stampings, Extrusions, Plastic Injection, Die Casting, Line Routing & Vehicle Integration.

    ·         Proficient skill set in CATIA/SmarTeam release process.

    ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.

    ·         Developing knowledge of CAE and GD&T

              Analytical problem solving skills
