    Controls what the plant will build and when it will be built. Responsible for establishing and monitoring all stages of vehicle production, from order sequencing to the line through finished vehicle shipping. Includes ensuring Vehicles are at Correct Status, Finished Vehicle Shipping and coordination with Finance, Marketing and the carrier. Part Consumption (backflush). Includes regular production vehicles as well as Prototype and pilot vehicles.
    Also responsible for ensuring required build and shipping paperwork is produced and available for production and logistics requirements

    Responsibilities

        Focal from the Assembly Line for vehicle management/order management/build sequence issues.
     Ensures alignment of operating plan between plant and Marketing
     Determined vehicle build sequence based on specific parameters. Updates the sequence in SAP or Instructs SAP representative of the sequence of vehicles to productionize for build.
     Maintains any build restrictions and uses these to modify sequence of build.
     Monitors Body shop body production order assignment and Paint/GA production order assignment. Creates production orders (future role)
     Generates production orders for service parts requirements based on demand from Service.
     Monitors internal vehicle build status. Communicates/escalated any build status anomalies (eg, aging vehicles at a particular status).
     Adds/removes vehicle holds as required due to build/shipping constraints, quality issues, requests from authorized management reps.
     Manages vehicle Set ins/outs in General Assembly as required. Coordinates with Production.
     Ensures VIN assignment per vehicle is accurate.
     Ensures Build manifest is generated and accurate for Production. Coordinates updating manifest as requested from Production or based on new option content.
     Prints Monroney and Fuel economy labels for each vehicle and creates shipping package/envelope.
     Creates pick lists for Warehouse kitting operation to the line (future role)
     Picks up vehicles from Quality OK location and delivers to XGate restricted compound. Collects required paperwork, keys, etc and ensures vehicles are stored securely in the compound. Updates the vehicle status in SAP.
     Coordinates with Marketing and Finance to release vehicles for shipment. Updates Status in SAP.
     Coordinates with Carrier to pick up vehicle. Coordinates with Security to release the vehicle to the carrier when appropriate and provides all necessary paperwork, keys etc. Ensures vehicle status is updated in SAP.
     Ensures vehicles are damage free upon release to carrier. Photographs as appropriate.
     Monitors vehicle delivery to dealership per Service level agreement with Carrier.
     Tracks and reports on Plant performance to XGate shipping week targets.
     Tracks and reports on vehicles on hold, aging vehicles, vehicle repair float, production and shipment.
     Creates ad hoc reports/analysis as required from SAP (Excel)

    Qualifications

       Bachelor degree or equivalent production control experience.
    o Supply Chain
    o Operations Management, scheduling or equivalent

     Demonstrated communications skills and ability to work cross functionally and at all levels.
     Demonstrated ability to balance several priorities and activities concurrently.

     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
     Self-motivated and self-disciplined
     Strong work ethic and effective time management skills
     Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). SAP preferred.
