    The Senior SAP BPC / BI / HANA Analyst will be responsible for the successful delivery of functional and technical components of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), BI, and HANA. This role will apply functional and technical integration knowledge of SAP ERP tools, planning/BI systems and functional finance processes. The analyst will implement leading practices within the business planning cycles, including strategic, financial and operational planning/reporting. The analyst will perform hands-on BPC, IBP, HANA, and BI design and configuration (reports, input schedules, script logic, allocations, distributions,etc.).



    • Understand business needs/requirements and translate that understanding into a form that leads to the creation and/or composition of better process and/or technology solutions in the SAP planning, reporting, and analytics space.
    • Guide business customers through business case development for new applications and functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
    • Design, develop, test, and support SAP BPC and IBP planning solutions.
    • Design, develop, test, and support SAP BI, BW, and HANA reporting/analytics solutions.
    • Design, develop, test, and support SAP Smart Business Modeler solutions.
    • Perform analysis to gather requirements for integration with other SAP modules (S/4HANA Finance, MM, SD, PP, etc.)
    • Create test plans, test cases, and perform functional testing.
    • Provide new user training as requested.
    • Understand requirements, develop functional/technical design documents and communicate solutions that will be implemented.
    • Develop/contribute to application roadmaps/implementation approach and project plans.
    • Assist in the solution architecture for a landscape that includes SAP S/4HANA, BI, BW, BPC, HANA, and Fiori.
    • Assist is evaluating non-SAP reporting products like Tableau and PowerBI.
    • Develop HANA Models using SQL Scripting and Graphical Modeling.
    • Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate, and propose solution for business opportunities.
    • Perform requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of BI applications and reporting solutions.
    • Develop proof-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate useful approaches to applying technology to solve business problems.
    • Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows. Understand and actively support Karma’s application architecture and IT strategy.
    • Educate organization on available and emerging toolsets.
    • Present solutions to leadership, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Develop end-user test scripts to assure expected performance quality levels meet standards in development efforts.
    • Analyze and communicate issues and resolution, including problems with data integrity, data design, functional, technical and software issues.
    • Collaborate with the IT and user(s) departments to develop specifications for system enhancements for continuous improvement.
    • Provide end user support during enhancements, upgrades and implementations as needed.
    • Comprehend and comply with IT policies and processes.
    • Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication, and system clean-up activities.
    • Interact with business partners to identify project alternatives and make recommendations and clearly define/document business requirements.
    • Participate in and/or drives the design and development of technology solutions which meet security, network, infrastructure/operations, and customer support requirements.




    • 10 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role designing, implementing, and supporting planning, reporting, and analytic solutions related to Corporate Finance in an SAP environment.
    • Experience with General Ledger, Profit center, Cost Center, Headcount, and Project based planning.
    • In-depth understanding and expertise of SAP BPC, IPB, and BI/BO analytics.
    • Experience in creating input templates, reports, and dashboards that are easy to use and visually pleasing.
    • Demonstrated experience with planning and managing unit/integration test efforts; facilitate cross functional, end-to-end business process testing via super users.
    • Demonstrated experience with S/4HANA Finance.
    • Demonstrated experience with HANA data modelling, data acquisition, scripting, CDS, BW modelling tools, and integration with Odata.
    • At least one full life-cycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA, or BW on HANA, or standalone/sidecar HANA.
    • SAP cloud analytics and embedded analytics is required.
    • Knowledge of non-SAP reporting tools such as Tableau and PowerBI, and how they integrate with SAP and HANA data.
    • Knowledge of SAP BPC, IPBP, S/4HANA, BI, and HANA security methodologies.
    • Project Management experience using ASAP and Agile development methodologies.
    • Bachelor degree in business related area or information systems or equivalent working experience.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of management as well as with internal business partners and external customers/suppliers of Karma Automotive.
    • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to lead and promote change in an environment of rapidly changing technologies and business processes.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
    • Strong PC experience required.
    • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
