    Senior Application Development Engineer, Diagnostics will report to Manager Systems Engineer, Diagnostics.

    Responsible for overall design and development of vehicle diagnostic tools. Analyzing requirements and specifications. Preparing diagnostic applications as per requirements. Participating in development testing of applications.


    • Analyze requirements and specifications
    • Develop applications as per requirements
    • Test, debug, troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy developed applications
    • Ensure applications meet quality standards.
    • Initiate, maintain, drive to completion Change Requests (including software bugs reports)
    • Draft, finalize, and maintain specifications, and test cases.
    • Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives.
    • Perform Design FMEA


    • B.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or equivalent (Masters preferred)
    • Experience developing Vehicle Diagnostic Tool applications is a major plus
    • ·5+ years working with Java, .NET
    • 2+ years working with C, C++, Matlab
    • 2+ years working with Visual Studio, CANalyzer, CANoe, LabView
    • 5+ in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
    • 5+ years in vehicle diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD2, UDSonCAN, UDSonLIN, J1979)
    • Familiar with any of the following, Automotive SPICE, Software Development Life Cycle, Waterfall.
    • Understanding of HEV/EVs is a major plus
    • Automotive OEM experience is a major plus
    • Domestic travel ~10%
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • High interpersonal skills. Be able to handle fast paced environment
    • Be able to work independently, provide status updated to supervisor on a regular basis
    • Strong organizational, and management skills
    • Ability to analyze complex problems and propose solutions
    • Proficient with revision control/source control
    • Evaluate gaps in systems process and propose solutions
    • Propose latest Diagnostic technologies
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Polarion, JIRA
