    The Public Relations Marketing Specialist is a public relations and communications professional, helping to extend the organization’s messages and grow brand awareness to various audiences, with special focus on media throughout the U.S.  The position will help determine strategy and implement communication tactics to support sustained awareness of product, sales, and launch efforts, including coordination and collaboration internally with other departments and agency partners.


    ** This position will work in our Irvine, CA corporate office. **


    China Market

    • Ensure Karma Communications and Marketing functions are working to support the planning, integration and coordination of China-based marketing and PR activities.

    Media Relations

    • Support to the PR Director and organization to manage and respond to media requests and opportunities.


    PR/Communications Planning and Support

    • Participate in short-term and long-term strategy PR and marketing planning to support regional and international communications efforts.
    • Provide competitor benchmark studies and assessments, as needed.
    • Work cross-functionally to support the on-going operation and activation of various PR functions (creating news opportunities, developing assets and words to support them, etc.)
    • Provide translation assistance (Chinese/English) when needed, and work toward sourcing/relationship of outside service to provide same.
    • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to support story generation, content for various communications channels (media website, employee newsletter, etc.)


    Results & Reporting

    • Prepare weekly PR Progress & Summary report and periodic editorial coverage updates.


    Executive Support

    • Assist in preparation of various materials for CEO/Executive offices, and miscellaneous CEO social media updates directed to Chinese market.


    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent work related experience, Master’s degree a plus
    • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate at all levels
    • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • 3-5 years’ experience with luxury goods and services industry as well as marketing and communications to high net worth individuals
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Experience working with social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, etc.
    • Proficiency with MS Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Language proficiency in English and Chinese - oral, written, and translation.
