    The Powertrain Integration Design Release Engineer (DRE) is responsible for the integration components interfacing with the all powertrain components. The Powertrain Integration Design Release Engineer will report to the Supervisor, Powertrain Hardware. The Powertrain Integration Design Release Engineer may support special project needs outside this scope to meet company objectives as required.  



    • Perform the Design Release activities for all the brackets interfacing with Powertrain components. These include the following; Exhaust ,Engine, Air Intake System, Fuel System, Gearbox, Generator, Inverter, Motor, HCU, Solar Panel Boost Converter, On-Board Charging Module, DC-DC Converter, Genset/RDM Mounts
    • Responsible for providing the prototype parts to support system level testing.
    • Plan, support and conduct tests as required.
    • Work with Vehicle Integration team to support the vehicle packaging development.
    • Manage the assigned the budget.
    • Maintain and update DVP&R and DFMEA for the integrated parts.
    • Create Purchase Requisitions and other engineering administrative tasks as required to support engineering activity.
    • Support certification, safety, and vehicle integration groups.
    • Work closely with plant personals and support build issues as required.
    • Ensure production deviations are completed as required to support build requirements.
    • Work closely with SQA Team supporting APQP and PPAP process.
    • Ensure that CRs are in place for responsible components/modules and BOM has been updated with all necessary documents.
    • Ensure that all MRD dates are met, delivering high quality modules in line with program timing.
    • Work closely with related module teams such as PT Electrical, software, and wiring teams.
    • Manage the suppliers for these systems and components.
    • Hold PDT meetings with supplier.
    • Build up a good relationship with suppliers.


    • BS. in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical)
    • MS. in Mechanical Engineering (desired)
    • Working knowledge of relevant standards (SAE, ASME, and ISO).
    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience for on-road automotive applications
    • Proficient in using a 3D computer Aided Design System ( Catia V5, solifworks, Solide Edge, Auto CAD or equivalent)
    • Knowledge of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software such as Smarteam is a plus.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong teamwork and management skills
    • Strong Analytical skills
    • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
