    The Production Control Analyst controls the production build schedule for the plant. Responsible for establishing and monitoring all stages of vehicle production, from order sequencing to the various production lines (body shop, paint shop and general assembly) through finished vehicle shipping. Includes ensuring Vehicles are at the correct status with SAP. Responsible to ensure complete and accurate part consumption (backflush) in conjunction with the Material Planners and BOM Analyst. This includes production and prototype/pre-production certification, crash and pilot vehicles.



    • Responsible for vehicle management, order management and build sequence accuracy and management and closure of issues or problems identified.
    • Ensures alignment of the operating plan between PC & L, Plant, Sales and Marketing.
    • Determined vehicle build sequence based on specific parameters (PTS dates). Updates /maintains the build sequence in SAP or provides direction to an SAP representative of the sequence of vehicles to productionize for build.
    • Assists the team with clearing and root cause analysis of COGI (Controlling Goods issued) errors.
    • Is a back-up to the PC & L Manager: Updates, maintains the daily Production Control Update document.
    • Attends the daily X-Gate Meeting and provides updates.
    • Maintains and communicates any build restrictions and modifies the sequence of build accordingly.
    • Monitors Body Shop, Paint Shop and General Assembly production order assignments.
    • Creates, releases, monitors and communicates the status of the production orders to the team.
    • Generates production orders for service parts requirements based on demand from Service.
    • Monitors internal vehicle build status. Communicates/escalates any build status anomalies (I.e. aging vehicles at a particular status).
    • Adds/removes vehicle holds as required due to build/shipping constraints, quality issues, requests from authorized management reps.
    • Manages vehicle set ins/outs in General Assembly as required. Coordinates with Production.
    • Ensures VIN assignment per vehicle is accurate. Tracks the VIN assignments in a document for reference and documentation.
    • Ensures the production order (build manifest) is generated and accurate before being released to Body Shop, Paint Shop and General Assembly. Coordinates and updates as requested or based on new option content.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Prints the Monroney and Fuel economy labels for each vehicle and creates shipping package/envelope (as a back-up to the Logistics Coordinator).
    • Creates the material pick lists for the Warehouse Team.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Retrieves the vehicle from Quality OK location and delivers to X-Gate restricted compound area in preparation for shipping. Collects required paperwork, keys, etc. and ensures vehicles are stored securely in the compound. The Vehicle Status in SAP is updated/monitored as the vehicle movement occurs.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Coordinates with Sales / Marketing and Finance to release vehicles for shipment. Once complete, the Vehicle Status is updated in SAP.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Coordinates with Carrier to pick up the vehicle. Coordinates with Security to release the vehicle to the carrier when appropriate and provides all necessary paperwork, keys etc. Ensures vehicle status is updated in SAP.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Ensures vehicles are damage free upon release to carrier. Pictures are taken and saved with the documents for the shipment.
    • Back-up to the Logistics Coordinator: Monitors vehicle delivery to dealership per Service level agreement with carrier.
    • Tracks and reports on plant performance to X-Gate shipping week targets.
    • Tracks and reports on vehicles on hold, aging vehicles, vehicle repair float, production and shipment.
    • Creates ad hoc reports/analysis as required (SAP, Excel, PP).
    • Participates and provides continuous improvement ideas.
    • Any other duties assigned.



    • Bachelor degree or equivalent production control experience.
