    The Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering EE BODY group will be accountable for the delivery of high quality body electronic modules and an assortment of related electrical components for the K1 1.0 and K1 2.0 platforms. This technical leader will be responsible to investigate emerging technologies and establish industry best practices to improve existing platforms and implement on future platforms.


    • Manage the BODY team that consists of design and release engineers for door, crash, security, seat and body control modules and related components such as switches, sensors, horns and antennae.  Provide technical leadership and direction to the DREs and suppliers.
    • Manage overall BOM cost targets and provide risks / opportunities for piece costs, tooling and engineering development expenditures.
    • Manage department budget and resources to ensure proper headcount forecast and expense allocations are made. Define and secure required lab equipment, computer aided engineering software tools and network analyzers
    • Create and submit for approval statement of work (SOW) for various suppliers to deliver products and services to the overall program schedules. Approve invoices from suppliers and verify they are meeting the deliverables as specified in the SOW.
    • Provide technical leadership to validate and resolve issues identified through JIRA reporting process for the electrical components owned by the team. The BODY team is accountable to release design documents, timing, costs and other critical information through the KARMA engineering change request ECR process utilizing Qportal and SmartTeam applications.
    • Develop and maintain Karma Software, Hardware, EMC, and Environmental Requirements as it pertains to Documentation for the electrical/electronic (EE) components within this function.
    • Establish processes and secure resources to build in-house capabilities in key design disciplines such as circuit design, embedded software programming, printed circuit board layout, networking messaging, and vehicle packaging.


    • Bachelor's degree (MS or MBA higher degree is prefer) in Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study
    • At least seven (7) years of experience in a technical management position. Preference in automotive body electronics or related components. Must display ability to identify     problems, recommend solutions, and negotiate and execute contingency plans.
    •  5+ Years of experience in Electrical HW design
    • 5+ Years of experience in Embedded SW programming
    • 2+ years of experience in connectivity, infotainment, driver information, and telematics hardware platforms.
    • Experience in Automotive microprocessor, ECU hardware, embedded applications, networks, and printed circuit board layout and simulation
    • Experience with Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout.
    • Experience with Pree-vision and Polarion requirements capture
    • Experience with Automotive Memory PCB implementations DDR, NAND, NOR. Automotive chipsets from TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm, ST, Vishay
    • Experience with high speed PCB trace analysis and design
    • Experience with Automotive wireless communication chipsets for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.
    • Experience with Automotive Network Access devices Qualcomm, Intel, Marvel, Tallit, Sierra Wireless, U-box
    • Experience with Automotive serial bus communication HW CAN, LIN, UART, Ethernet, USB
    • Knowledge in automotive vehicle mechanical and electrical system architectures including vehicle BUS communications
    • Knowledge of testing and validation tools, lab test equipment including oscilloscope, receivers, spectrum analyzers, generators, amplifiers and antennas. Product qualification testing
    • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
