    Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the VP, Strategy is responsible for the development of long-term, forward-thinking business strategies, focused on Luxury, High Technology, Customization and Customer care, designed to make the company a profitable luxury and technology car company.


    The VP play a key role in driving revenue, gaining market share and maximizing profitability, by leveraging market research and product planning to outline the value propositions associated with introducing new products to markets, new go-to-market strategies, and expanding into new markets.


    Leveraging the Karma Product Lifecycle Management System, the VP looks at future customer requirements, future technological developments, competitor plans and any changes in the marketplace, to make sure Karma is well positioned.


    The VP is responsible for the strategy roadmap that maintain our competitive edge; recommend changes in our existing approaches, product design, and product mix to maximize our market potential.



    • Responsible for maintaining and updating the Karma Strategy System (long term, mid term and short term)
    • Oversees the identification, exploration, and analysis of new market and product opportunities, and developing new strategic business initiatives that support growth objectives of the organization
    • Oversees the research and evaluation to expand the sources of revenue for the organization
    • Organize and serve on the strategy committee
    • Responsible for the strategy documents and presentations
    • Develop charters for priority initiatives to help create a detailed roadmap that aligns the day-to-day focus with our strategy
    • Partners with the Chief Financial Officer and members of the executive team to evaluate the current financial performance of the company and identify specific areas in need of improvement
    • Prepares and presents future project proposals to the executive team, highlighting how new business opportunities are expected to promote sustainable business growth
    • Thru the Karma Product Lifecycle Management System, update the product roadmap, inform of shifts in customer demands, and facilitate the definition of future vehicle programs and content for engineering feasibility prior to program planning approval and handoff to the Vehicle Line Executive
    • Identify and evaluate next generation technologies for initial feasibility and suitability for incorporation into Karma Automotive vehicles
    • Contribute thought leadership to the creation and on-going refinement of the Karma Automotive Technology Roadmap
    • Develop business and technology relationships complementary to Karma Automotive interests
    • Seek automotive opportunities that may hold potential for Wanxiang America investment
    • Act with a high degree of performance and professionalism; determine and meet budget and operational objectives; drive productivity
    • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
    • Responsible for continued collection of information regarding market data


    • Minimum of 10+ years of results-oriented work experience in business development, strategy, operational and/or management consulting function
    • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality with the ability to operate at a high level and drive decisions
    • Demonstrated ability to independently lead, mentor and grow a diverse and fast moving team through clear and consistent communication of the organization’s vision, goals and expectations and by actively managing individual staff performance
    • Superior ability to lead meetings, present and communicate effectively to high level Executives
    • Ability to develop relationships with various business partners and diverse stakeholders
    • Team player who proactively promotes knowledge through open and collaborative discussions with executives, peers and clients
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Superior strategic skills that provide business insight and support decision-making processes
    • Strategy or business development experience a must, including building and analyzing business plans, creating financial models and performing strategic analysis
    • Periodic domestic and international travel required
