    The KARMA Finance Team is seeking a highly motivated Sr Program Finance Analyst who will support KARMA Revero K platform and next generation vehicle programs. The Sr Program Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial controls, financial analysis, and business management for assigned vehicle programs or modules.


    This position requires proactive leadership and significant interaction with Engineering Executives, Design Responsible Engineers, Vehicle Line Executives, Program Managers, Cost Engineering, Supply Chain, and legal teams to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operational and financial objectives. The Sr. Program Finance Analyst is a strategic business partner to various functional teams and works in collaboration on the successful execution of Vehicle Program or option development/launch, Vehicle Bill of Material (BOM) Cost Strategy, Program Gate reviews, contract negotiations, financial reporting and Estimates at Completion ( EAC).


    The selected candidate must be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as have the ability to multitask across a variety of programs or modules. This position requires the ability to provide top level program planning and control guidance as well as the ability to summarize, package, and present information to all levels of management. As a strategic business partner, the successful candidate will collaborate with Engineering Executives, Vehicle Line Executives, and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis lead as well as other functional leads to ensure the successful execution of quarterly EACs, monthly CEO Engineering/Program Office/Finance reviews, as well as Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasting.


    This position may work in either our Irvine, CA corporate office or our Technical Center in Tory, MI with 40% travel.


    • Perform program cost control function: review actual costs and investigate inconsistencies; evaluate, code (GL account, WBS or IO), and approve purchase requisitions; track manpower data).
    • Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), WBS Dictionary, Responsibility Assignment Matrix and Internal Order structure for assigned vehicle programs or modules.
    • Develop quarterly time-phased budgets and EAC in accordance with schedule plans; analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions for assigned vehicle programs or modules.
    • Support the vehicle program forecast, estimate to complete (ETC), month end close/variance analysis, and other deliverables needed for corporate financial reporting.
    • Report BOM cost and gap to target, provide variance analysis, and influence BOM cost reduction activities for assigned vehicle programs or modules.
    • Ensure component or system sourcing packages/recommendations are completed in accordance with standardized sourcing guidelines (competitive bidding, statements of work, master service agreements) and include appropriate industry/internal/should cost benchmarks before submission to cross functional executive program sourcing decision team.
    • Validate Business Case integrity and perform Return on Investment (ROI) analysis in support of system or component sourcing, make vs buy, program non-recurring investment decisions.
    • Support Karma Product Development System program gate and other leadership reviews with required financial information and analysis
    • Support launch of program management module in SAP


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or Engineering. MBA a plus.
    • Minimum of 8 years in Program Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis roles in automotive industry or complex engineering/scientific product development environments.
    • Demonstrated experience utilizing earned value management systems (EVMS) and tools (MPM). preferably in SAP/BI environment as well as development and implementation EVM best practices.
    • SAP experience or equivalent
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Project). Advanced Excel skills preferably with complex financial modeling experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in cross-functional team environment and partner with individual contributors/managers/senior leaders across the organization.
    • Strong oral and written communications skills, able to create and present complex information to leadership team and key stakeholders/customers in a clear and concise manner
    • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
