    The EDI/SAP Business Analyst must have sound knowledge about the technical as well as the electronic data interchange. The  EDI Coordinator will be a liaison for overseeing and facilitating the onboarding process for the supply base to establish Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with Karma Auto partnering with Covisint, a 3rd party EDI provider. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive supply chain, project management and a solid IT (EDI) /software background.  The EDI coordinator will work extensively with both internal and external stakeholders to initiate, manage and troubleshoot to ensure a successful EDI implementation in this key supply chain role within the company.

     

    Position can work out of our Moreno Valley Karma Innovation and Customization Center or our Irvine headquarters.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Purchasing and Material Planning to identify and prioritize suppliers for EDI implementation. Some of which may be in various stages of EDI implementation.
    • Coordinate with Covisint to establish the type of preferred method of EDI (Web/Traditional) with individual suppliers and develop a project tracker to ensure successful EDI “Live” implementation.
    • Setup weekly meeting cadence with Covisint and internal teams. Prepare and report out on EDI LIVE supplier project status to senior management on a weekly basis.
    • Communicate with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure the milestones are on-track and escalate up the supply chain on encountering major roadblocks & non-responsive supplier(s)
    • Maintain and manage any IT issues by raising helpdesk tickets to both SAP & Covisint as needed and follow-up to close out open issues
    • Collaborate with Covisint to train & validate new suppliers that are on boarded and “LIVE” on EDI.
    • Coordinate and work with Material Planners to transmit test releases (862/DELJIT) and forecast (830/DELFOR) data to suppliers “LIVE” on EDI to complete the EDI end-to-end validation.
    • Develop and manage project tracker, provide a status of all suppliers as part of the validation process to complete the EDI live suppliers E2E; setup, release, ASN transmission, invoice issue and payment.
    • Maintain successful relationship and communication with internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, PC&L, SAP and Finance for a successful EDI E2E validation, a key supply chain metric.
    • Support Production Control & Logistics Planning Team to ensure accurate and timely releases/forecast are transmitted to suppliers on a regular cadence.
    • Ensure MRP Parameters are properly defined and maintained.
    • Coordinate change requests from the user community to the SAP support team.  Ensure changes are consistent with the long-termbusiness plans. 
    • Train PC&L Team members on efficient ways of using SAP (e.g. shortcuts, multi session, variants, outputs) 
    • Performs other duties as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years’ experience in Materials and Production Planning in the automotive or manufacturing, semiconductor, or consumer device industry is desired.
    • Prior project, program management background and proven IT project implementation experience is desired.
    • BA degree in Business Administration, Project management, IT and or related discipline;
    • Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system functionality 
    • Advanced spreadsheet / Excel skills; Ability to generate dashboards, tools, and reports
    • Familiarity in SAP is required. Experience with other ERP systems is highly desired
    • General end-to-end knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, and warehouse operations 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting data to senior management
    • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
