The Sr. Battery Software Engineer is responsible for develop, integrate the embedded software for BMS, including application software, basic software for both Karma internal battery projects and business customer battery projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, configurate embedded software for next generation BMS.
  • Lead defining BMS software architecture.
  • Design application software using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Design and configurate basic software using AutoSAR authorization tool.
  • Design complex device drivers and integrate the drivers to basic software.
  • Define safety software requirements based on functional safety requirements assigned to BMS.
  • Design/configurate application software and basic software to meet functional safety requirements
  • Create and execute software unit test plans, test scripts and test automation
  • Support BMS HIL validation by implementing and automating regression and functional tests
  • Support business development team in creating technical proposals for potential customers
  • Support customer in system integration.

Qualifications

  • MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with embedded system and familiar with embedded software development process.
  • Experience in developing software for real-time, and experience with RTOS, understanding of real-time processing issue.
  • Familiar with AutoSAR software architecture and methodology.
  • Production project experience of hand-on using AutoSAR authorization tool
  • Expert proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
  • Knowledge of automotive interfaces / communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, UDS, XCP)
  • Experience with model-based software development using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Familiar with IS26262 development process, and experience of functional safety development and implementation in software.
  • Good communication with both customers and crossing teams
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.

 

Preferable:

  • Aurix TC2XX family experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive HV battery system.
  • Project Experience with BMS development.
  • Knowledge of HIL / MIL / SIL for ECU testing.
